Farnham & District Model Railway Club

Farnham and District Model Railway Club (F&DMRC) meets every Wednesday from 2.00 pm to 9.00pm. Our clubroom is in the Wrecclesham Community Centre, Greenfield Road, Wrecclesham, Farnham, Surrey GU9 8TJ

We have active groups in O, OO, P4, 009, and N gauges. Our Greenfield Sidings OO gauge, Brixcombe P4, Wickwar N gauge, and Haydon Square o gauge layouts already on the exhibition circuit. Modules of members 009 layouts can be joined and exhibited, and a new OO gauge layout is currently being worked on. Club members also have interests in other scales and prototypes including gauge 1, 16mm, trams, and 2mm finescale.

The club has test tracks for OO, P4 and N gauge. We have at least 2 open days each year, and our big event is our exhibition every October. We also run a programme of demonstrations, presentations and events throughout the year.

New members are always welcome no matter whether an experienced modeller or just starting. Because we have several new members with little experience of railway modelling from time to time we run a series of 60 minute hands-on workshops on the basics of railway modelling.

Regular Wednesday Meetings

Farnham and District MRC (F&DMRC) meets every Wednesday at our clubrooms in Wrecclesham, Farnham. We book the hall next to our club room from 2 pm to 9 pm to allow us to erect layouts, which are stored in a room under the club room.
