Farnham Knights American Football Club
The Farnham Knights are a British American Football club based in Farnham, Surrey.
The Club has three teams; the Farnham Knights Seniors team (20+), the Farnham Knights U19s (18 - 19) and the Farnham Knights U17s (13 - 17).
The Knights play in the Premiership South division of the British American Football Association (BAFA) National Leagues, and were the Britbowl champions in 2004.
WHERE ARE WE?
The Farnham Knights play home games at Farnham Rugby Club, just off Monkton Lane in Farnham. We train here as well, however during the rugby season or in inclement weather you'll find us at Ash Manor Leisure Centre, Manor Road, Ash, GU12 6QH.
I'VE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE, AM I WELCOME?
Of course! Just fill in the contact form on the home page, and a coach will make contact. We accept players of all ages from 13 and above regardless of ability, shape and size. We also welcome both male and female players so send us a message, or come along to a training session on a Sunday and speak to a coach.
HOW DO I JOIN?
The Farnham Knights are always looking for new talent, whether you're brand new to the game or have previous experience. Use the contact form at the bottom of the home page to make contact with the coaching staff. Alternatively, come and watch a game or watch a training session, and ask a coach to find out more.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY?
For your first session, all you need is a mouth guard, some water, and a good work ethic. We'll teach you everything else. Your coaches and team mates at the Farnham Knights will help and give advice on kit, just ask.
WILL I NEED MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
The Farnham Knights have a small amount of equipment which we can lend new players, however you'll be expected to invest in your own kit if you wish to continue to play long term.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PLAYING FOR THE FARNHAM KNIGHTS?
The Farnham Knights require a registration with the UK governing body BAFA, which is currently £35 a year for players at the time of writing. There is also a subscription fee which can be paid monthly or annually for the running of the club. Speak to a coach for more information.
WHEN CAN I WATCH A GAME?
The Farnham Knights currently play in the BAFA Premier League South, which has six member teams. The Knights play five home games and five away games. Games are played on Sundays, and you can find out more on our schedule page.
WHEN DO THE KNIGHTS TRAIN?
The Farnham Knights training depends on the time of year. During the season (December-August) training will be on Wednesday evenings and Sundays. Out of season (September-November) training will be dependent on player and coach availability. Keep an eye on the News page for more information.
