Waverley Singers
The Waverley Singers is a long-established, friendly and enterprising choir of around 100 singers, based in Farnham, Surrey. Our musical director is Richard Pearce.
“sung with power and conviction as befitting the choir’s increased numbers and Richard Pearce’s attention to detail” (Farnham Herald)
We perform four or more concerts a year with professional soloists and instrumentalists, in venues including St Andrew’s Church, Farnham; Farnham Maltings; St Lawrence's Church, Alton; St Andrew’s Garrison Church, Aldershot; and Guildford Cathedral.
In 2013, the choir commissioned The Mind That Lives – an anthem by Diamond Jubilee composer Will Todd, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Farnham’s ‘most famous son’ William Cobbett.
Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 7.30 to approx. 9.45pm, September to early July at South Farnham School, Menin Way, Farnham.
